I was going to just enter this in the courses, but I see Facebook removed that, so:

I picked it up today with my reservation. Also, because I registered it, I got an awesome free stylus.

The game is actually seeming to be really good. I am not very far in, but it has a lot of depth. Also, the graphics are really good, with a 3D effect that still looks like the 2D games. The pokemon are a lot better than they were last generation too. I can't wait to get further in.

We hosted a band competition :: Fun

Yesterday our school was hosting a band competition. It was pretty fun overall, and would love for Monarch to host it next year too. However, there was one thing I learned: never walk through the lobby.

So I get there earlier than I need to, at 9:30am; I don't remember why. And they need me to host a band for someone who didn't show up. They also call someone else in, because I would have to warm up when they get to the stage, and can't completely host them.

So I go to warm up, and our band does pretty well. We get a 2 overall, but I thought we sight read quite well. Then I hang outside, get Panda for lunch, etc, when I go to host the band I signed up for around 2:00, and finished with them around 3ish. Walking to get my stuff, I go through the lobby, and am told they need someone to host a band at 4:15.

I am now stuck here another couple hours, so I go down to talk with Jordan, who is helping the sight reading judge (passing out music mostly). Since I am there, I kind of help. Then Jones walks over here, asks if I can cover sight reading for the rest of the day, and he will get someone else for the band I was supposed to help. So now I am stuck here ALL day...

At like 5:45, there are only a couple bands here, and drumline is now around the sight reading room, so I casually leave, because I am tired of helping there, and Jordan already left. Since I told my mom to pick me up at 6:15, I don't have anything to do, so I pop in to the auditorium. Krista got stuck doing Judge's help for the rest of the day, so I just hang around there and chat until we need to go.
